Essex Smart Home

Project Overview

AAA was commissioned to design, supply, integrate and install a complete smart home system for a private residence in Essex. Following a detailed site survey, the goal of the project was to deliver a fully connected environment combining security, entertainment, connectivity and centralised smart control throughout the property.

Security begins at the entrance with a Comelit Ultra video intercom, providing clear HD video, two-way communication and remote access through a mobile app. Around the property, a network of CCTV cameras with full-colour night vision delivers continuous monitoring and full coverage of the home. A smart intruder alarm system was also installed, providing rapid detection, instant alerts and remote system management.

For entertainment, AAA installed a multi-room audio system using Sonos amplifiers paired with Episode speakers, delivering high-quality sound throughout the property with independent control in each room.

Video distribution across the home is powered by the HDAnywhere MHUB Pro matrix, allowing multiple televisions to receive 4K content from a centralised equipment hub while keeping the living spaces clean and free from visible hardware.

To support the smart home environment, a dedicated Ruijie networking infrastructure was installed, including managed switches and wireless access points to provide reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi coverage across the entire property.

A complete TV and Satellite IRS distribution system was also installed, providing access to Freeview, Freesat and Sky Q services throughout the home from a single integrated system.

All systems are brought together through the Rithum Switch Pro and HDAnywhere UControl remote, giving the homeowner simple, intuitive control of entertainment, security and connected systems from one central interface.

Behind the scenes, the core equipment is housed within a professional AV equipment cabinet, providing structured cable management, ventilation and capacity for future system expansion.

Through the integration of video intercom, CCTV, intruder alarms, multi-room audio, 4K video distribution, networking infrastructure and satellite TV services, AAA delivered a clean, modern and future-ready smart home installation designed to enhance security, entertainment and everyday living.
