Project Overview

AAA was appointed to design, supply and commission a complete Security and IRS system package for The Matalan Site residential development in Stevenage.

The project included the installation of a Comelit ULTRA Video Intercom and Access Control System serving 143 apartments and 5 entry panels. Residents benefit from full-colour HD video communication, while the concierge system provides call forwarding and message functionality for improved site management.

A Fibre IRS system was installed to distribute Sky Q, Sky Legacy, Hotbird, Freeview, Freesat, DAB, and FM services to all apartments, using a roof-mounted antenna array and fibre optic distribution to each utility cupboard.

AAA also designed and commissioned the Security LAN infrastructure to support CCTV, Access Control and Door Entry systems, with core, aggregation and access network layers built for scalability and future expansion.

The CCTV system comprised Uniview IP dome cameras providing high-definition surveillance across the site, supported by NVRs with 28-day recording and full client handover training.

All installations were completed to NSI standards with full system testing, certification and documentation provided on completion.
