Project Overview

AAA was appointed to design, supply, install, test, and commission new Fibre IRS, Structured Cabling, and Data Network systems for the Sonning Common IVG Development, serving 73 apartments across the Village Centre and residential blocks.

The Fibre Integrated Reception System (FIRS) provides residents with access to Sky Q, Sky Legacy, Freeview, Freesat, DAB, and FM services through a fibre-fed distribution network. Roof-mounted antenna arrays and fibre optic GTUs in each apartment ensure reliable, high-quality signal delivery to living room and bedroom outlets.

AAA also installed a Structured Cabling System using Excel CAT6 LSZH FTP cabling and OM4 fibre links, providing a robust network backbone across multiple blocks. The infrastructure supports data points, metering systems, and wireless connectivity, with all cabling tested and certified using Fluke DSX analysers.

As part of the works, AAA provided BT ONT installation and horizontal cabling resource, supporting broadband infrastructure for the entire development. Wireless Access Points were supplied and commissioned using Ubiquiti hardware, upgraded to WiFi 6 models to meet the latest performance standards.

All systems were completed to NSI and BS standards, with comprehensive testing, certification, and handover documentation provided upon completion.
