Project Overview
AAA was appointed to design, supply, and commission new Security, Structured Cabling, Fire Alarm, and Intruder Alarm Systems for The Guildford Cathedral Office.
The project included the installation of a Comelit Ultra Video Intercom and Access Control System, complete with stainless-steel entry panels, HD cameras, and remote door release functionality from reception. PAC access control units with online readers, RTE switches, and magnetic locks were installed to secure key entry points.
A Comelit Logifire analogue addressable fire alarm system was commissioned to meet BS5839 standards, providing full L1 coverage with sounders, detectors, and integration to the access control for emergency door release. Structured cabling was completed using Excel Cat6 cabling throughout the building, linking all network outlets to the main comms room on the ground floor.
An Ajax Intruder Alarm System was fitted to protect both floors of the office, incorporating PIR motion sensors, door contacts, and a dual-path remote monitoring service. AAA also installed a Disabled Refuge System for accessibility and safety, ensuring full compliance with modern building standards.
All systems were tested, commissioned, and certified to NSI and BS standards, with comprehensive documentation provided upon completion.
