How do I know if I need a new aerial or just a repair?

In many cases a repair, re alignment, or component replacement is enough, so the first step is always diagnosis rather than replacing everything by default. Typical signs that you might only need a repair include intermittent signal loss during bad weather, pixelation on some but not all channels, or issues limited to one room or one TV point. A new aerial or dish is more likely to be recommended if the existing equipment is physically damaged, severely corroded, loosely mounted, or of an old type that was never designed for current digital broadcasts. If your system has been in place for many years and multiple bodged additions have been made, it is often more cost effective and reliable in the long term to install a modern, correctly specified system rather than continually patching faults.

Can you fix poor TV signal, pixelation, or missing channels?

Do you install satellite dishes for Sky, Freesat, and European channels?

What is the difference between Freeview, Freesat, Sky, and IPTV?

Freesat is also free to air but received via a satellite dish rather than an aerial. It is particularly useful in areas with poor terrestrial reception but good line of sight to the satellite cluster used for UK services and still avoids monthly subscription fees for basic channels. Sky uses similar satellite infrastructure but provides a subscription service with additional premium channels, on demand content, and extra features, accessed via Sky branded equipment and contracts. IPTV (internet protocol television) is TV delivered over your broadband connection, including services such as streaming platforms and app based live TV; it relies on a strong, stable internet connection rather than over the air or satellite signals.

Do you offer communal IRS or SMATV systems for flats and apartments?

Yes, communal systems such as IRS (Integrated Reception Systems) and SMATV (Satellite Master Antenna Television) can be designed and installed for blocks of flats, HMOs, and multi dwelling or commercial buildings. These systems typically take feeds from one or more satellite dishes and a terrestrial aerial, then distribute them via a structured network of multi switches and amplifiers, allowing each flat to receive its own choice of services through a single wall plate. How long does a typical aerial or satellite installation take?

This allows time for safely mounting the aerial or dish, routing and terminating cables neatly, testing signal levels, and tuning the TV or receiver. Will you remove my old aerial or satellite dish?
